Hochschule für Philosophie
(University of Philosophy)

The college which was founded in 1925 by Cardinal Augustin Bea originally had it's seat in Berchmannskolleg in Pullach near Munich where it was exclusively used for the philosophical education of members of the Jesuit Order.
Since its move to Munich in 1971 the college is open to students of all religions. With only approximately 600 students the college is small and freindly.

The college is financed by the Upper German Province of the Society of Jesus and is therefore under papal law. The professors are mostly Jesuit priests. The degrees are nationally accepted.
